For sure we have many technologies in place now in hospitality environment which help the operators to make everything simple and easy to use, especially when it’s coming to customer use, which is the most important thing in this industry.

The hospitality sector is extremely competitive, making it essential to keep up with the latest hospitality  technology trends. In the same time, needing to make revenue and save some cost for that and above all of   these you should keep improving the customer experience. It’s a big challenge.

I would like to discover some important technologies and talk about it briefly to have small ideas of how technologies grow year by year and month by month:

Wi-Fi 6: The main technology for me now and I believe all of you will agree with that, is the internet. Without the internet, you can do nothing! So, we can talk here about the Wi-Fi 6 technology which is faster with about 30 - 40 percent more. Such improvements on Wi-Fi are very important for hospitality companies which help them to stand out from rivals.

Continuing with Check-in: most of the people don’t like to wait on lines and do physical check- in, so we have two new technologies now to do that (Self check-in and Mobile check-in)

Self-check-in will be from device placed in the lobby can help you to do it and take the card of the room without interfere with any employee

On the other hand, the mobile check-in from the application and have the card on it! And that  drives us to the second technology.

Mobile Key Card: instead of having physical card which will be ruined or lost by the guest and will save some cost for the property itself and have it on mobile, with easy open.

Contactless Payment: for sure for all above, we will have option for online payment, which allows you to pay without even contacting anybody.

Technology has changed the way the world works, travels, and enjoys itself by making things easier, safer, and more efficient to work with. It is easier to be more specific with expectations and be assured that they will be met when there are hi-tech systems in place to reduce the chances of human errors.
